Who are The Climbing Company?
The Climbing Company is run by me, Stu McInnes – WMCI – Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, the highest UK based qualification for Mountain and Climbing activities, Summer and Winter. I’ve been climbing for over 20 years throughout the world, and have been super lucky to tick off some dream objectives. I’ve got a passion for enabling others to get out on adventures and sharing my hard won knowledge.
I specialise in providing high end Summer and Winter Climbing/Mountaineering courses, act as a Technical Advisor for large outdoor organisations, and run National Governing Body Instructor Training and Assessment courses on behalf of Mountain Training.
As well as running The Climbing Company and all we do, I freelance for other companies running all sorts of outdoor activity courses, and am lucky enough to work overseas for expedition companies guiding in the Greater Ranges..

A tiny bit about Stu…
Climbing and Adventure Travel has been a way of life for me for over 20 years, and I’m lucky enough to have worked, climbed and travelled on 6 of the continents on Earth. (Just Antarctica to go!) Highlights include guiding on big Himalayan peaks, climbing Alpine Winter North Walls, Big Wall Climbing in Yosemite, Ski Mountaineering in the Alps and new routing and exploratory deep water soloing here at home in Pembrokeshire. Any day out Winter Climbing in perfect Scottish conditions is always high up on my list of favourite places to be!
I’m as excited to get out and have adventures now as the very first time I set out to climb independently in the Andes as an 18 year old, and equally as excited to help people go and realise their own dreams and have their own epic adventures! Why not come and have an adventure with us?!

Being a full member of The Association of Mountaineering Instructors, I am a committed professional with a strong ethos in further personal development. You will be under the watchful eye of an Instructor that has many thousands of routes under his belt, some world famous classic climbs and an impeccable safety record in these adventurous settings…
