Course Information

Course Information - What kit to bring?!

Course Information – What kit to bring?!

Our winter courses may require the hiring of some specialist kit if you do not own it, namely crampons and an ice axe, so there may be additional cost here. We will advise well in advance on this and keep costs down as much as possible.

All courses are non-residential, leaving you flexibility as to where to stay and cutting down on course costs. We can recommend a variety of accommodation options, which you will see in our links page. We need a minimum number of attendees to be able to run some courses, and similarly have a maximum  number, so book well ahead to avoid disappointment.  We may be able to join you with another group so get in touch.

Any course can be created bespoke for you so if you can’t see quite what you’re after, let us know. Kit lists, medical declaration and disclaimer forms will be sent out on booking. We can only take under 18’s with an accompanying paying adult.

Payment Information

Payment is taken via PayPal, bank transfer or cash.  Upon booking we can generate an invoice for you.  A 50% deposit will be taken on booking and the full payment due 2 weeks before the start day of the course. On the cancellation of a course due to weather etc, you will receive either an alternative day or a full refund. If you cancel within 2 weeks of the course, the deposit will be non refundable.

Safety Information

Whilst every effort will be taken to ensure participants safety on our courses, it must be understood that our activities always contain an element of risk that is beyond our control.  We have an exemplary safety record, and this is gained through not only our training and expertise, but through your co-operation and involvement in the risk assessment and management during our courses.

Insurance Information

We are fully insured with Public Liability cover, however you may wish to take out your own specialist travel insurance to cover yourself. Check out the BMC’s excellent insurance here…
