Kit
On our climbing courses, we provide all technical and safety equipment. You will need to bring suitable clothing, food, and drink for the day. For some courses, it is assumed you may have your own equipment; you are welcome to use this, provided it meets our safety standards.
Our winter courses may require the hiring of specialist kit (such as crampons, boots, and ice axes) if you do not own it, and this may incur an additional charge.
Accommodation
All courses are non-residential, giving you flexibility regarding where to stay, which can help reduce course costs. We can recommend a variety of accommodation options if required.
Course Numbers
A minimum number of attendees is required to run some courses, and similarly, there is a maximum number of participants. To avoid disappointment, please book well in advance.
Payment & Booking
Payment is accepted via bank transfer or PayPal. Upon booking, we will issue an invoice/receipt for you. Full payment is due at the time of booking.
Any course can be tailored to your specific needs, so if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, please let us know. Medical declaration and personal information forms will be sent out upon booking.
Under 18s
We can only accept participants under 18 if accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian.
Safety
While every effort will be made to ensure participants’ safety on our courses, it must be understood that all activities inherently contain an element of risk that is beyond our control. We have an exemplary safety record, achieved through our training and expertise, as well as your cooperation and involvement in the risk assessment and management process during the course.
We are fully insured with public liability cover; however, you may wish to take out your own specialist travel insurance to cover yourself. For more details, we recommend checking out the BMC’s excellent insurance options here.
Cancellation by Us
While every attempt will be made to ensure courses run as scheduled, we will notify you of any cancellation as soon as possible if we believe there are reasonable grounds for cancellation due to dangerous or unsuitable conditions. Simply being wet and windy is NOT grounds for cancellation! In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your course, you will be offered either a full refund or an alternative date. Please note that we will not be liable for any travel or accommodation-related expenses.
Cancellation by You
You may attempt to fill your space with another participant, by agreement with us.
- More than 28 days before the course start date: If notice is given more than 28 days before the course, we will offer alternative dates or refund 50% of your course payment.
- Within 28 days of the course start date: 100% of the course fee will be charged.
Insurance and Loss
We have full public liability insurance, but we strongly advise you to take out your own personal accident, cancellation, and travel insurance. If you already have insurance, please ensure it covers the activities you will be undertaking.
We do not include personal accident, cancellation, third-party liability, or personal insurance as part of your booking. We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
